Dr. Peterson Maina
Early Life and Education
Born and raised in Nyeri, Dr. Peterson Maina’s journey began at Kagumo High School. He later joined the University of Nairobi, School of Dentistry, graduating in 2000 with his Bachelor of Dental Surgery.
Early Career & Military Experience
After completing internship at Kenyatta National Hospital and the Defence Forces Memorial Hospital, Dr. Maina’s passion for service led him to join the military as a Cadet Specialist.
He trained at the Kenya Military Academy and later served at Moi Air Base, rising to the rank of Captain.
His years in the Kenya Air Force shaped his reputation for discipline, precision, and calm leadership qualities his patients still appreciate today.
Leadership in Private Practice
Upon leaving the military, Dr. Maina became the Dentist in Charge at Maua Methodist Hospital, where he refined his skills in managing a busy dental unit and delivering community focused care.
In 2006, he founded Karatina Dental Services, a practice he ran successfully for over a decade.
Corporate Dentistry Expertise
Dr. Maina later returned to Nairobi, working in leading dental practices across Lavington, Karen, Nairobi CBD, Westlands, and Hurlingham. Here, he built a reputation as a reliable, steady, and highly skilled senior dentist trusted by patients of all ages.
