Dr. Joyce Soinda Gitangu
DOCTOR OF MEDICINE, FOUNDER
Dr. Gitangu grew up in Nairobi and graduated from Loreto Convent Msongari high school. She moved to the United States to pursue her studies in the field of Biology and Chemistry in 1998.
She graduated from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, where she earned her B.Sc. degree (Bachelor of Science)
She moved to Boston, Massachusetts in August of 2004 and enrolled in Tufts University Dental School to pursue her passion in Dental Medicine and received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2008. She started working at Koolsmiles Dental Clinic for Kids and developed compassion for treating kids, and got vast experience in corporate dentistry, as she became the State Dental Director for Massachusetts’s clinics.
After working for 3 years, she decided to go back to school, and joined the prestigious Harvard School of Public Health, where she received a Master’s in Public Health, with a focus on Health Policy in May 2012. Her dream was to move back home to Kenya to set up dental clinic. And in 2014 she opened up her own Dental clinic in Kilimani. She hopes to transform oral health care in Kenya with a focus on preventive dental disease through dental education, nutritional counselling and preventive dental treatments. As a dentist Dr Gitangu focuses on more than the aesthetics of the smile.
Her goal is to identify and treat the underlying cause for dental concerns to deliver patients with long lasting, natural looking, comfortable results.
She has a progressive customer centric model, reputation for quality service and looks forward to provide a relaxing, comfortable and exciting experience when visiting the dentist. In 2018 she was awarded the prestigious title of FICD (Fellow, International College of Dentists) and FPFA (Fellow, Pierre Fauchard Academy) which is an honorary dental service organization.
In 2019 she was awarded Top 40 Under 40 women in Kenya. The award recognizes women across Kenya who have shown greatness in the different fields.
She holds two current dental professional licenses in Kenya (B1048) and Massachusetts (DN22142) in the United States

If she wasn’t a dentist, she would probably be an Interior designer. Or better yet a DJ. At her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her young brood. She also enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends and Kickboxing.
Dr. Komal Mondavia
CONSULTANT ORTHODONTIST
Dr. Komal Mandavia, born and raised in Nairobi graduated in 2011 obtaining her BDS degree from the faculty of dentistry at the University of Nairobi. She then pursued her passion for orthodontics by doing the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO) fellowship program in orthodontics.
During her consultations, Dr. Mandavia fully explains patients’ conditions and helps them choose an appropriate treatment plan for alignment of malocclusions. One of the things she enjoys most about orthodontic dentistry is to see how changing a patient’s smile transforms their lives

Outside of practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time reading, dancing, sketching and painting. If she was not a dentist she would be an Artist or dancer.
Dr. Adnaan Mohemadali
B.D.S, DENTAL SURGEON
Dr. Adnaan was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, pursued dentistry and graduated from the University of Nairobi’s faculty of dentistry. He gained extensive experience working at institutions such as Kenyatta National Hospital, Lions Hospital, and Aga Khan Hospital, honing his skills in all aspects of dentistry.
As an avid learner, Dr. Adnaan is dedicated to continuous professional development, staying updated with the latest advances in dentistry. He has received advanced training in root canal treatment, crowns, bridges, veneers, and dental implants. More recently, he completed postgraduate training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics and is a certified Invisalign specialist.
Dr. Adnaan takes great pride in delivering high-quality, personalized dental care. He is renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to creating a friendly, comfortable environment for his patients, helping to eliminate the common fears associated with dental treatment. His interests include orthodontics, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry.
Outside the dental practice, Dr. Adnaan enjoys working out, playing the guitar, and savoring good food. He values quality time with friends and family.

Dr. Michelle Momata
B.D.S, DENTAL SURGEON
Dr. Michelle Momata is a distinguished dental surgeon at Dental Smiles, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Nairobi. With a certificate in leadership from Aspire Institute and a senior management certificate from the Kenya School of Government, Dr. Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice.
Multi-talented and dedicated, Dr. Michelle also holds a certificate in Culinary Arts from the Kenya Institute of Professional Studies. She enjoys cooking and baking in her free time, showcasing her creativity and passion outside of dentistry. Additionally, she is a farmer who enjoys selling fresh produce and animal products from her farm. Known for her sweet and warm personality, Dr. Michelle is deeply committed to her work, maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics and patient care.

Dr. Nejal Sonigra
IMPLANTOLOGIST
Dr. Sonigra is a highly skilled general dentist with a specialized focus on implant dentistry. Her journey in the dental field began at the community level in Kenya, where she developed a deep commitment to improving oral health care. Seeking to enhance her expertise, Dr. Sonigra pursued advanced training at Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. There, she collaborated with multiple specialized dentists, further honing her implant skills and gaining invaluable experience.
Upon returning to Kenya, Dr. Sonigra has become a respected implant consultant, offering her expertise at several clinics around Nairobi. Dr. Andrew Okiariamu
ORAL MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEON
Dr Andrew is a distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeon with an extensive background in dental surgery and a specialization in the surgical treatment of the face, mouth, and jaws. He holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) and a Master’s degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (MDS) from the esteemed University of Nairobi.
With a rich career spanning both public and private sectors, Dr. Andrew has gained a wealth of experience that underscores his expertise and commitment to dental health and surgery. His professional journey includes serving as a dental surgeon at some of Kenya’s most notable medical institutions, including Millennium Dental Services at Nairobi Hospital Doctors’ Plaza, Busia County Referral Hospital, and Kenyatta National Hospital.
Dr. Andrew’s passion lies in the management of orofacial trauma, pediatric head and neck tumors, and facial esthetics. His dedication to these areas highlights his comprehensive approach to both functional and aesthetic aspects of dental and facial surgery, ensuring his patients receive holistic care.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Andrew is a registered member of the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council, which governs the standards and practices of medical professionals in Kenya. Dr. Njeri Kabanga
B.D.S, DENTAL SURGEON
Dr. Njeri Kabanga is a passionate and enthusiastic dentist driven by the desire to make dental visits pleasant and almost pain-free. Her journey in dentistry began after completing her International Baccalaureate Diploma at Aga Khan Academy Nairobi. Embracing her wanderlust, she moved to Dalian, China, where she pursued her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Dalian Medical University. During her time in China, she also became conversant in Mandarin, which has broadened her ability to communicate with a diverse patient base.
Upon returning to Kenya and obtaining her dental license, Dr. Njeri’s adventurous spirit led her to join the military as a Captain in the Kenya Air Force. She served for three years, during which she completed a postgraduate diploma in Orthodontics from the McGann Postgraduate School of Dentistry as part of the South African cohort.
Her quest for advanced dental techniques and technology took her to Dubai, where she attained her license to practice and was drawn by the city’s cutting-edge advancements in dentistry. In Dubai, Dr. Njeri honed her skills in aesthetic dentistry, specializing in lifelike restorations using composite and porcelain materials.
Dr. Njeri believes that a dental experience should be a happy one. She strives to create an environment where her patients feel comfortable, fully understand their conditions and required procedures, and leave satisfied with their treatment. She is dedicated to empowering her patients to take charge of their oral health.
In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Njeri holds two current dental professional licenses in Kenya (B1299) and Dubai (68754312) UAE. She is a member of the Kenya Dental Association, Dubai Health Authority, and Progressive Orthodontic Seminars.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Njeri has a passion for baking and dreams of owning a bakery if she were not a dentist. She also enjoys traveling the world and reading.
